Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic Oxy Pack Review

Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic Oxy Pack Review

by Supriya

Hello beauties,
Remember this dialogue from Jab Tak Hai Jaan - “Har Aadmi ka ek fitoor hota hai, uska fitoor agar poora nahi hua, toh woh paagal ho jaata hai. Ek Paagal tumhare saamne hai, aur doosre paagal ki yahan pe koi jagaa nahi hai!” {Every man has an obsession, and if it is not fulfilled, then he may go mad. One crazy person is standing before you and there is no place for another one here!}. Don't get confused, I am not to discuss about the movie here, but about the fitoor. Face packs - Yes I am crazy about them. And face pack + aroma magic = deadly combination. I mean, not really!.. I hoard face packs like crazy and will lay my hands on any pack if its ingredient list entices me. So ladies, today I am going to review this beauty called Oxy pack from AM. Read on to know how it fared.

Aroma Magic Oxy Pack Review, Aroma Magic Review, Oxy Pack Review

What does the Aroma Magic Oxy Pack Claims:
Helps to oxygenate the skin to keep skin cells flexible & regenerated. Removes waste & toxins & boosts circulation. The natural botanicals fight free radicals, helps hyger pigmentation & lightens the skin.

Price & Quantity: Rs.215 for 50gm

Usage Directions: Apply on face & wipe off after 20 minutes. Or mix 1/2 tsp pack with 1/4 tsp of Aroma Magic Enzyme Peel Scrub to make a paste & apply on to face. Wipe off after 20 minutes. Use morning and night.

Shelf Life: 2 years

My Experience with Aroma Magic Oxy Pack:

When you hear words like oxygenate the skin, cell regeneration, toxin removal, helps hyper - pigmentation & skin lightening, you are sure to jump and did that too. Don't you?

Packaging:  This pack comes in a traditional Aroma Magic tub packaging of red and white. Recently the company has brought about a change in their face wash packaging but I don't know about the packs.

Color, Consistency & Fragrance: It is a transparent gel pack with a thick consistency. It smells very mildly of may be grapefruit, seaweed and aloe gel (fragrance is difficult to decipher) and the texture is very smooth

How it works: Aroma Magic Oxy Pack claims to help in all of above areas. It is advisable for all skin types. I cannot claim about oxygenation and cell regeneration, as specific test may be necessary to ascertain the fact. But the product surely lives up to the claim of removal of dirt and dust and leaves my skin looking fresh and clean and brighter. The tub lasted me for a month with alternate day usage. It has not caused any eruptions on my skin. Overall, I am pretty happy with the results. You need to apply it on your cleansed face and keep it on for 20 minutes. The company advices to wipe it off thereafter but I prefer washing it. Since it is a gel formulation, you will feel the cooling sensation on application. After a minute or two, a slight tingling starts, that means the product is working. It doesn't dry off completely.

You can also use it with AM Enzyme Peel Pack, as suggested by the company. I have used it both ways.

PROS of Aroma Magic Oxy Pack:

  • Contains all natural ingredients
  • Helps in toxin removal and skin brightening
  • Does not dry out the skin
  • Suitable for oily skinned beauties too as it is gel based
  • Doesn't irritate or cause any breakout for sensitive skin people

CONS of Aroma Magic Oxy Pack:

  • Pricey for the quantity compared to the other face packs
  • Tub packaging (I apply it using a face pack brush to overcome the hygiene issue)

Makeup and Beauty Home Rating: 4/5

My Recommendation: I would recommend this face pack to everyone.

Would I Repurchase?: Yes. I am already on my second tub now.

Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Pack Review

Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Pack for Normal to Oily Skin Review

Hello Everyone!
Today's review is about the Purifying Neem Face Pack from Himalaya Herbals. I have been using this face pack for ages and this is one of my ever favorite face packs. I love using neem in my skincare recipes, especially for acne curing home treatments as it clears out acne very effectively. When I first saw this face pack on the market, I couldn't resist buying it especially for its 'neem' content. Read my complete review on this neem face pack below.

Product Description:
Clears skin and prevents outbreak and recurrence of pimples. Rejuvenates and firms up the skin. Imparts natural glow. Antibacterial purifying Neem Face Pack regulates excess oil secretion, cleans clogged pores and prevents recurrence of pimples. Improves skin texture. Neem, well known for its antibacterial properties, helps in controlling acne and pimples, and their recurrence. When combined with Turmeric, it effectively eliminates acne-causing bacteria. Fuller's Earth (Multani Mitti) cools and soothes the skin.

Indications: Oily and Pimple-prone skin.

Usage Directions:
Apply evenly over cleansed face and neck, avoiding the area around eyes. Allow it to dry for 10-15 minutes. Remove with wet sponge and wash the skin with cool water. Use once or twice a week.

Key Ingredients:
Azadirachta indica (Neem, Nimba) well known for its antibacterial properties, helps in controlling acne and pimples, and their recurrence.
Panka (Fuller's earth, Multani Mitti) - anti-inflammatory
Curcuma longa (Turmeric, Haridra), antiseptic and improves complexion.

Inactives: Sodium Methyl Paraben IP, Sodium Prophyl Paraben IP, Imidazolidinyl Urea, DMDM Hydantoin.

Shelf Life: 3 years

My Experience with Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Pack:

Packaging: This face pack comes in a typical Himalaya Herbals white tube with a green flip type cap similar to most of the other products of this same brand. Unlike the other face packs and face washes from Himalaya Herbals, the flip cap of this product is sturdy enough and hence the product is travel friendly :) I have no complaints about its packaging.

Colour, Consistency & Fragrance: The colour of this neem face pack can be said as muddy dark green and it has a gritty texture. Though many find its colour unattractive, I somehow liked the colour :P There are tiny scrubbing particles are present in this moderately thick smooth and muddy green face pack. The fragrance is neither sweet nor adorable but it is natural and not irriating to the senses. If you have a very sensitive nose, the fragrance might bother you but it did not affect me at all. I actually loved the natural neem fragrance of this face pack. The main thing I wanted to mention is that, I did not find any traces of turmeric in this pack. It doesn't stain my skin even a bit too.

How it works: After a heavy makeup day or after an improper skin care week, when your skin screams for something natural to clear all the impurities, there fits perfectly, this Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Pack. It clears out all the dirt, impurities and oiliness from the skin without leaving skin extra dry. My normal-oily skin loves this face pack a lot and hence I using this 5-6 times a month for its amazing cleansing effects. It doesn't help much in curing my stubborn acne bumps but my acne problem is completely prevented while using this face pack. For many people out there, it has does wonders on curing acne but the results vary from person to person. It helps a bit in shrinking my acne bumps but nothing can do wonders like freshly pasted neem leaves :)
I simply apply this face pack evenly over my facial skin and leave on for 10 minutes. It spreads easily though being gritty and dries up quickly too. For the first 2 minutes, I felt that tingling sensation on my skin but later it disappeared. After drying, I did wet my finger tips, pat and scrub my facial skin in a gentler way. The gritty granules helped effectively with the exfoliation process too and hence I did not need to get a scrub on my hand while using this face pack :) My skin is left soft, smooth, oil free and perfectly clean after usage. I personally love the muddy green colour too. With regular usage, it evened out my skin tone and prevented acne bumps popping out in an excellent way. I am deeply in love with this super cleansing face pack for the price it comes and for the worth it delivers! Face pack starters must grab at least a single pack of this product however if you have extra dry skin, this might leave your skin stretchy. (It can be made alright by a rich moisturizer though!)

Pros of Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Pack:

  • Comes in a hygienic, travel friendly packaging
  • Spreads smoothly over the skin
  • The scribbling particles help with the exfoliation part very well
  • Cleanses out the skin very effectively leaving it squeaky clean
  • Removes dirt, pollution and excess oiliness from the skin
  • Dries off quickly and washes out easily
  • No artificial fragrance
  • Comes in an affordable price
  • Easily available everywhere

Cons of Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Pack:

  • Does tingle a bit for the the first 2-3 minutes (But after all, this makes us feel the pack is working!)
  • Contains 3 kinds of paraben

Makeup and Beauty Home Rating: 4/5

Would I Repurchase Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Pack?: Yes of course! It deep cleanses skin effectively and helps skin stay problem free with regular usage.

How to Make DIY Skin Hydrating Face Pack? [Photo Tutorial]

Guest Post by Gowmi

Hi Sweets,
As per now, I am very obsessed with the weather over South India (Tamil nadu). They call it winter season?? Nope! It’s still summer in here. Due to the random change in the weather conditions, our skin gets not only dry but it losing the hydration completely. I have combinational to normal skin type, so my T- zone areas (due to rapid change in weather) look like cement concrete (dry), elsewhere skin is normal. I wondered, I don’t how I suppose to hydrate my skin? I was tried over search engines by looking over the solution for uprooting skin hydration. Hence, I came across the uses of banana with honey. It was quiet satisfying. Yet need to improvise! So again I browsed and came to know about the wonders of cucumber and sandalwood.
They all work as smoothing agent, for soothing and skin hydration. This is what Is looking for! So I made them as pack and apply as hydration face pack twice a week. Now it’s all hydrated. So, let me introduce my hydration face pack here in this tutorial.

DIY Skin Hydrating Face Pack:

Ingredients you will need:

  • Smashed cucumber (You can smash in mixer and store in air tight container in refrigerator for later use)
  • 1 spoon of honey
  • 1 banana (2-3 pieces will be needed for the entire face)
  • 1 spoonful of sandalwood powder (if you have red sandalwood powder then you can use it instead of sandalwood powder too)

Tip: Women who have acne prone skin can reduce the amount of cucumber and sandalwood powder for this pack. Because, both are highly cooling agents, so they may enhance acne sometimes. Don’t add fuller’s earth to this pack, it may completely alter the pack.

Method of Preparation:

Step 1: Add smashed cucumber and sandalwood powder to a bowl.

Step2: Add spoonful of honey to same bowl and mix well.

Step 3: Add 2-3 banana pieces to mixture prepared above.

Step 4: Mix every tthing well togther with the fork without lumps.

That's it. Now, our DIY hydration face pack is ready to use!.

Tip: Use a fork to smash banana with mixture. Don’t use finger as it may get clumsy.

How to Use?:

Clean your face with cleanser and pat dry. Now apply the hydration pack on face, leave 20-15 minutes and wash with luke warm or tap water. Don’t leave pack to over dry on your skin then the washing process goes little bit difficult. For starters it may feel little tingling due to the banana usage in pack. Also don’t add water to the pack. While applying you may feel greasy but you should wait 15 minutes to see some wonders on your skin. After this pack skin feels hydrated and soothing.

Tidbit: Use this pack thrice or twice a week. It removes dullness and excess sebum on surface of skin and leaves hydrated.
