Celebrity Makeup: Madhuri Dixit

I have never been a fan of Madhuri Dixit. Yeah I know weird and stuff but I have somehow never took to her. I have always found her looking older (read matured) than her co-stars, her looks have always been dated, her outfits are super OTT and blingey for my liking and I absolutely hate her hair. But I haven't said a word cause she is like this diva of the 90's and has made a lot of hearts and well other anatomical parts flutter with her "acting" and dancing and well some say even her smile. So let's leave it at that.

But when I came across this look of hers, I could not control myself from posting about it...

There is just nothing I like about the look here... From the mis-matched lipstick shade to OTT bronzing to one wash of Orange (?) eye shadow, nothing works for me or rather for her...
Trying to match your eye shadow with your outfit is one of the biggest mistakes one can ever do and well the Indian mauve-brown lippy isn't helping her case either...
And I know lining the eye black all around is my thing but it really doesn't do her any good... She has beautifully shaped eyes and her MUA should have done something to enhance them.

Celebrity Makeup: Neena and Masaba Gupta

This is just a one liner post... Ok may be 3 :P

The mother-daughter duo, Neena and Masaba really have a swell sense of style that can be best described as quirky and individualistic but makeup-wise? They really need to get their Pink shade of lipstick sorted. Ladies... go for any any color you fancy but remember to pick out a shade of that color that enhances your complexion and not make you sallow and ill!

Celebrity Makeup: Kareena Kapoor (Again!)

One celebrity who rarely ever gets her makeup wrong in Kareena Kapoor and the best part about her looks are that they are never boring... She doesn't really stick to a particular kind of look and somehow whatever she does looks just so awesome on her... And this look was no different... It was spectacular, went really well with her gold sequined Atsu dress and my my did she look glamorous or what!

She went with a subtle black winged liner and pretty Red lips... My kind of makeup for sure!

Ok, I really need to give this to her... She has some very obvious arm-candy (read fat arms) but she embraces them... I should pick up a couple of pointers about loving your arm candy for sure ;)

Celebrity Makeup: Kareena Kapoor

Let me first start by saying that I am not much of a Kareena Kapoor fan but the makeup looks that she has been belting out one after the other is sure getting me into a tizzy and I am totally in love with her for this. I was on a makeup hiatus since a while but checking out Kareena Kapoor's looks these past few days and I am all revved up and ready to restart my EOTD posts ;) Parita has already requested for one ;)

But today's post is specially dedicated to this uber cool, ultra chic and super hot smokey eye makeup that she sported with a pristine white dress at a promotional event for her movie "Heroine".

The dress as such am not really a fan of though I don't hate it either... I think its the sleeves that are making me a bit uncomfortable especially with the busy necklace and the heavy eye makeup! If I had to make the outfit a lit less busy, I would make the dress either sleeveless or with fitted 3/4 sleeves... The makeup and the necklace stay! :D

But the post isn't really about the outfit as much as it is about the makeup and ladies I have one word for it! GORGEOUS!!! It's totally out of this world and the moment I came across the pictures on the new I was totally blown away! WOW! And the best part is she actually goes and wears it with a virginal white dress! Mind Blowing! People generally like pairing their white dresses with lipsticks in sweet pinks, safe beiges and jaded Reds but doing a give-it-all-you-have black smokey eyes is sure the way to go! :)

Knowing the smokey eye lover that I am, you can be rest assured that I will be trying this look out very soon :) So stay tuned and do let me know of your take on this gorgeous look of Kareena Kapoor's :)

Celebrity Makeup: Amrita Puri

My love for Red Lips and Bronzer is common knowledge now and anyone sporting a red lipstick becomes my instant favorite... However the shade of the lipstick on Amrita Puri below with the white blingey saree seems to be a bit off...

I love the saree separately and I totally love the makeup if I just see her neck up, so I inferred that the issue lies with the pairing of the saree with the particular makeup! Yup! I have always been good at analytical mathematics :P

The makeup alone would look awesome with a western black/royal blue/emerald green gown... With the saree in the picture, I would have gone for a brighter shade of red lippy... Maybe MAC Ruby Woo or Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick in Hot Hot Hot or even Lakme Absolute in Classic Rose.

Btw, I love the way she has her bronzer applied... She totally rocks it! :D

Celebrity MAkeup: Sushmita Sen and Peach Eye Shadow

I have always believed and followed that we must never ever match our outfits to out makeup color to color. The makeup must always complement our outfits but never "match" it...

Here's why...

Now don't you think the whole look falls flat? Isn't it lacking something?
I would have loved to see her with a golden eye shadow and a brighter pink lipstick...

Celebrity MakeUp: Sameera Reddy

Not very often do we need to fault Sameera Reddy's makeup but unfortunately today isn't one of those days. Looking at the picture below, I cannot help but feel that there is something wrong with her makeup. Yes I said makeup and not the outfit cause the outfit deserves another post altogether :P LOL...

So anyways, coming back to the makeup, I really feel that there is something not working in it. It's difficult to say what it is really but I feel that the foundation has not been blended well and perhaps the shade of the foundation isn't matching her skin tone... Or maybe it is too much SPF in her base makeup?

What do you thin could be the issue?

Celebrity MakeUp: Malaika Arora...

Doesn't she look simply gorgeous? With a killer body like that and an attitude that says "I know you are looking at me", its difficult to go wrong...

Love her look here...

My only change would have been a bright red lippy rather than the berry-ish brown one :P
